The Village Hall is situated in the heart of Sutton
cum Lound, a small village just 3 miles to the North
East of Retford in Nottinghamshire (see
a map of where we are) |

The Village Hall is owned by the Parish Council and
leased to the Sutton Village Hall Charity, a group
of Trustees whose sole purpose is to manage the
facility for the use of residents of the village and
local communities.

In addition to a host
of regular events, Sutton cum Lound Village Hall is
available for private hire at
reasonable rates. |

money for the Village Hall refurbishments.

Sutton Village Hall
was the venue for a wedding reception with a
difference in August. The newly-wed couple, Sean and
Ann, booked their entire reception through google
and similar internet sites, and chose Sutton cum
Lound because of its central location, access to
mainline rail, major road routes, and local hotels
as their guests travelled from far and wide.
The hall was
decorated and totally transformed for the evening
and, whilst guests watched a recording of the
wedding service, outside caterers provided a fine
hog roast. The couple had the first dance with music
provided by the group Blow (another Internet find),
while the licensed Hall bar provided much-needed
refreshments for the night. It just shows that with
a little imagination anything is possible.
