When the shops are
shut for good, when the shutters come down for the
last time, when the final homes are bought up, what
happens to communities then? What happens to
communities then?
Cscape’s new show
uses the company’s unique style of physical story
telling to tell the tales of villages and the people
who live in them. Evocative, charming and funny,
When the Shops Shut, brings the characters found in
these communities to life in a vivid blend of dance,
theatre, film, poetry and music. Featuring the work
of choreographers T.C Howard, Helen Tiplady and
Sally Williams, the film work of Mark Jenkin and the
poetry of Anna Maria Murphy and Murray
Lachlan-Young. |
