This joint fundraiser with St Bartholomew’s Parish Church, held at “Little Grange”, Sutton Grange Farm,  was a great success, the weather was glorious and we raised 0ver £1300.  Proceeds will be shared between St Bartholomew’s Church Heating Fund and Sutton-cum-Lound Village Hall.  A good number of residents joined in the fun and activities.

Strawberries were in plentiful supply along with gallons of cream, the Pimms bar was drained and there were a number of ever popular stalls and games. As well as afternoon tea and stalls, there was Museum and Woodland Treasure Trail, Criss-Cross the Shetland pony gave trips around the lake, and children from Sutton cum Lound Primary school sang a number of songs for us all.

Many thanks to Ruth and Mike Walters for allowing the use of their home and gardens, and to all the helpers and friends of both the Church and the Village Hall who gave up their time to man stalls and make teas.

Let’s hope we can make it bigger and better next year!
